John McCain gave the Democrats a tax idea in the recent campaign for President.
McCain said he wanted to tax health care benefits and give a $5000 tax credit for the purchase of health care. Such a deal. My family health care costs $816 a month, or $9,792 a year. This would mean an increase in income taxes for another $9,800 a year, and get a $5,000 credit. The math doesn't work.
Although the Obama campaign poopooed the idea, some Democrats are considering a tax on health benefits for higher income people.
Gotta love those taxin' and spendin' Democrats.
